On Nov. 17, Lakeview Hospital will kick off its three-week drive collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts for area children. The items collected will be handed off for distribution to St. Tammany Project Christmas, a local nonprofit that provides presents for children and food for family Christmas dinners to local families.

The toys are given to parents one week before Christmas so that Santa has time to load them for delivery on Christmas morning.

The donations can be dropped off through Dec. 5 in the hospital's first floor Human Resources office at 95 Judge Tanner Blvd. (the hospital campus) from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours and on weekends, drop them in the first floor Guest Services office by entering the hospital's main entrance.
