Gov. Gretchen Whitmer last year saved “ Aidan Cluckinson ” from the Thanksgiving dinner table, and now the naming contest has started for the two turkeys she’ll pardon this year.
Michigan residents can submit their naming suggestions at this link . There is no limit on the number of suggestions residents can submit. The contest is open through Sunday, Nov. 9.
This year’s turkeys will be pardoned on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
“We are inviting Michigobblers of all ages (especially kids!) to submit suggestions for what to name this year’s pardoned pair,” Whitmer’s office said in a release. “Since there are two turkeys, be sure to send in two names that go together as well as our feathered friends do.”
