CANTON, N.C. (WSPA) - The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) said they will be closing lanes along Interstate 40 East in Haywood County.
Starting 9p.m. on Monday November 10, one of two lanes along Interstate 40 East will be closed from mile marker 29 to Champion Drive (Exit 31) to shift traffic to a temporary bridge on I-40 over Incinerator Road.
The closure is expected to last until Thursday afternoon November 13.
In addition, NCDOT said crews will also pave along the shoulders of I-40 near Thickety Road, mile marker 29.
Officials said drivers should anticipate delays and to plan ahead when driving.
