BELVIDERE, Ill. — A man was arrested in Belvidere for drug and weapons charges.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Belvidere Police officers pulled over a sedan in the area of Appleton Road and Bypass Route 20.
During the traffic stop, a search was conducted. Police found 439 grams of cannabis, 63 cannabis vape pens with 126 grams of cannabis, and 31 rounds of handgun ammunition.
23-year-old Joshua Salgado of Poplar Grove was arrested as a result. He was taken to Boone County Jail on no bond.
The Boone County State's Attorney's Office charged Salgado with unlawful delivery of cannabis and unlawful possession of ammunition without a FOID.
Salgado will appear in court via video on Friday at 1:15 p.m.
