As a Tennessee native, my love for Dolly Parton started at a very young age. She’s the Volunteer State’s most famous export (sorry, cotton), and is so universally revered and respected for her philanthropic initiatives such as the Imagination Library that I’ve repeatedly heard her referred to as “The Dolly Lama.” I’ve devoured plenty of Dolly-themed podcasts (one was inspired by a Dolly-centric course at my alma mater, The University of Tennessee), and I’ve even converted both of my children, ages 11 and 12, into Dolly disciples.
