MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) - A storage company in Meriden found guns when they cleaned out a bin for nonpayment, police said.

Meriden police said it led to the arrest of 44-year-old Toby Brown.

They said Brown is a convicted felon.

According to police, they received a call from Just Storage on West Main Street on Dec. 12, 2024.

“They had a plastic bin in their possession from a unit that was cleaned out for nonpayment,” Meriden police explained in their report. “While moving the bin, a handgun fell out, and at that point they called the police.”

When officers arrived, they said they found that the bin contained several guns as well as ammunition.
