NASHUA, N.H. —

A long line formed Friday in Nashua as hundreds of Granite Staters waited to pick up food from a mobile food pantry.

Volunteers at the mobile food pantry in the parking lot of BAE on Lock Street said they normally help about 500 families during such events, but they had already reached that number in their first hour.

A line of cars extended down the street as people waited to pick up a box of food. Volunteers said they try to adjust the amount of food offered for larger families.

They also said there was no stigma at the mobile food pantry. They said there are difficult times for many people in New Hampshire, and they're happy to help.
