NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Louisiana artists earned multiple 2026 Grammy nominations across jazz, country, gospel, blues, and roots music categories.

New Orleans native Jon Batiste received nods for Best American Roots Performance (“Lonely Avenue” featuring Randy Newman), Best American Roots Song, and Best Americana Album for Big Money.

Lainey Wilson , from Baskin, Louisiana, scored three nominations: Best Country Solo Performance for “Somewhere Over Laredo,” Best Country Song, and as a songwriter alongside Andy Albert, Trannie Anderson, and Dallas Wilson.

PJ Morton of New Orleans continues his streak of Grammy recognition, earning nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Gospel Album for his collaborations with Darrel Walls on Amazing and Heart of Mine.
