OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The Owensboro Police Department is investigating a string of vehicle break-ins that have happened over the past 48 hours.

Officers say on the afternoon of November 6, around 20 vehicles were discovered to have broken windshields from overnight vandalism at a car dealership.

The next morning, police say multiple hotels reported that more than 20 vehicles had been broken into with similar damage.

According to OPD, several victims told police they had items stolen, including guns.

Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and take out all valuables when leaving vehicles unattended.
