DULUTH — As major airline hubs across the nation work to trim their flight schedules per a federal directive, the ripple effects could easily impact smaller operations such as the Duluth International Airport.
As of Friday morning, one of four daily Delta flights between Duluth and Minneapolis/St. Paul had been canceled. A flight that had been slated to arrive in Duluth at 3:30 p.m. and depart carrying Twin Cities-bound travelers at 4:10 p.m. was struck from the schedule, according to Natalie Baker, the Duluth airport’s director of communications and marketing.
The cause of the Friday cancellation was not immediately clear.
