KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) - The Kaukauna Police Department had officers at Piggly Wiggly on Wednesday to collect donations of food for families in need, with resounding success.

In a follow-up to its Stuff the Squad event, the Kaukauna Police Department said the community's generosity collected nearly 1,300 pounds of food with $800 in donations.

The donations will help the Loaves and Fishes Kaukauna Food Pantry and affordable housing communities in the city.

"Your kindness and support truly make a difference," the Kaukauna Police Department said on Facebook. "Together, we stuffed the squad and helped make the season brighter for those in need!"
