Bainbridge volleyball player Zariyah Francis and Olympic cross country runner Caleb Davis are the Kitsap Sun athletes of the week for Oct. 27-Nov. 1, selected by readers in an online poll.

Athletes are nominated by their respective coaches, and the top vote-getters for both boys and girls are declared the winners.

Francis totaled 18 kills and 15 digs in the Spartans' victory over North Kitsap that allowed Bainbridge to finish Olympic League 2A play undefeated. Francis collected 2,331 votes. Other nominees in girls sports were Bremerton's Melanie Unrich, North Kitsap's Rachel Le (118) and Bainbridge's Izzi Pujolar (68).

Davis finished second in the 2A boys race at the Westside Classic and helped the Trojans finish second as a team. He collected 182 votes. Other nominees in boys sports we
