FARGO — It’s nice to see New York City finally taking some ideas from North Dakota.

Maybe life will be better in one of the historic crucibles of this great nation — and the single best example of the American experiment — now that the city slickers are taking a cue from Real America.

Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani won NYC’s mayoral election this week, with a key part of his platform being that he wants at least one city-run grocery store in each of the five boroughs. The idea is that even in the greatest city in the world there are so-called “food deserts,” areas with limited full-service supermarkets or affordable produce.
