Srinagar: To mark the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police organized the main commemoration programme at the Police Control Room (PCR) in Kashmir. The event was inaugurated by the Director General of Police, J&K, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, who led the celebrations with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme commenced with the collective singing of “Vande Mataram,” in which the DGP, senior officers, and a large number of police personnel participated. The powerful rendition echoed through the PCR premises, symbolizing unity, dedication, and devotion to the motherland — values that the song has inspired for generations.
