Military Service
Peter was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He was a Private in Captain Benjamin Weiser’s Northumberland Co. Militia from 1776-1778. He was promoted to Colonel and commanded the 3rd Battalion during Northumberland county’s 1778 reorganization. His Battalion oversaw eight companies across multiple townships directly responsible for the frontier settlements along the Susquehanna region. He and his wife, Elizabeth lived on 61
