A major controversy has broken out in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district, after students from the Hullapur Government School were seen eating mid-day meal on paper instead of utensils in a government school in the district.

The incident took place last Tuesday, when a self-help group asked the children to sit in a line during lunch break, and served the food on paper instead of steel utensils. In addition, no school teacher was present on the spot when the food was being served, and it was supervised by a person who called himself a ‘guest.’

The incident immediately triggered the local villagers, and some of them captured it on their mobile phones and uploaded the video of the incident on social media.

As soon as the video went viral, it drew a reaction from the district administration.
