The Anchorage School District is helping students impacted by last month’s storms recover some of their cultural traditions. Families who lost cultural regalia items can now receive support through community workshops and supply donations.
The district is currently accepting donations of needles, thread, earring hooks, fur, and other crafting materials. These donations will help students create or repair regalia.
Starting November 14, the district will host free regalia-making nights for students displaced by the typhoon.
