FAYETTEVILLE -- The city has announced street closures related to Saturday's Veterans Day parade, the first in 10 years, according to city records.
The Fayetteville parade on Dickson Street will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday and go "from East to West," said organizer Jay Stout of Prairie Grove, referring to East and West streets with a turn on Spring Street along the way. A trade show of veteran-related businesses and services will take place on the city's Upper Ramble public space after the parade, Stout said.
According to a news release from the city, the following streets will be closed due to the event:
Dickson Street will be closed between East and West avenues from 7:30 a.m. until the parade is completed.
East Avenue will be closed between Spring and Dickson streets starting at 9 a.m
