GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials in Green Bay confirmed that a body was recovered from a vehicle that had been fully engulfed in flames around noon on Friday.

According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, officials were sent to the reported vehicle fire on North Danz Avenue near East Shore Drive and I-43 at 12:02 p.m., with police officers responding as well.

Engine 2 reported that a car was fully engulfed in flames; however, upon clearing the fire, officials recovered a body inside the car.

The victim remains unidentified, and officials are actively investigating the incident, asking anybody with information to contact the Green Bay Police Department at (920) 448-3200.
