LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Days after the deadly UPS plane crash south of Louisville's international airport, officials are asking the community to avoid contact with waterways in southern Jefferson County.
On Friday, the Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) said waterways in the southern part of Jefferson County may be potentially contaminated with runoff from the crash, which killed at least 13 people.
Louisville MSD said the runoff is primarily in Pond Creek, the Northern Ditch and the Southern Ditch.
"If you see oil, debris, or discoloration in a waterway, please report it by calling 502-540-6000," officials said. Report can also be submitted through email by clicking here.
