NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department has released more information, including a 911 call and bodycam video, of an incident involving a man being shot and killed by officers near a bus station on Friday morning.
The incident occurred near the Greyhound station in downtown at about 6 a.m.
MNPD reports that officers, who were nearing the end of their overnight shift, responded to the station after a 911 call from a man claiming to have a gun and “feeling crazy.” Officers arrived on the scene and were immediately confronted by the man.
In the video, the officers ordered the man to show his hands, but the man continued walking toward the officers with his hand in a backpack saying, “I have a gun, I have a gun, I have a gun,” before seemingly jolting toward them.
