NORFOLK, Va. — For the fifth year, Old Dominion University is going all out for its Public Arts Festival, and this year, it's all about bubbles !
BUBBLE FEST features “larger-than-life” bubble installations by Australian design studio Atelier Sisu. The larger-than-life bubble display is meant to convey the mixed feelings of living in a bubble and wanting to live for each moment that came about during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, visitors can explore the illuminated installation alongside live performances, pop-up exhibits, and interactive zones, including a "Bubblecade," glassblowing and sugar-blowing demos, and art displays from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art and the Chrysler Museum of Art.
