Residents are advised not to give the water to infants under six months old or use it to prepare infant formula. Infants exposed to high nitrate levels may develop serious health issues, including shortness of breath and blue baby syndrome, which is indicated by a bluish skin tone. Immediate medical attention is advised if symptoms appear.
