A man was taken to hospital Friday morning after an ambulance and a vehicle collided in Stoney Creek.
Hamilton paramedic commander Dave Thompson said the ambulance was responding to a 911 call when the crash happened at the intersection of Centennial Parkway North and South Service Road around 10:15 a.m.
What led to the collision is unclear. Hamilton police didn’t respond to request for comment.
Thompson said no patient was aboard the ambulance at the time of the crash. The two paramedics inside — neither of whom was hurt — immediately began to treat the person in the other vehicle.
A man believed to be in his 80s was later taken to hospital by a second ambulance, Thompson added. His condition was stable.
