The quest for the Class 5A state championship runs through Keith Howard Memorial Stadium this Friday as the Corner Yellow Jackets (8-2) travel to face the Moody Blue Devils (8-2) in a first-round playoff matchup.

Corner enters the postseason with momentum , having won five of their last six games, and will look to improve upon last year’s 57-36 quarterfinal exit at the hands of Leeds.

Meanwhile, the Blue Devils are riding a four-game winning streak and carry the motivation of last season’s state championship game appearance, where they fell just short of the title in a 17-14 loss to Montgomery Catholic .

Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on Friday, November 7 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network .
