WOONSOCKET – Police have charged two teenagers from Woonsocket High School with firearm possession.
On Thursday morning, Nov. 6, WHS went into lockdown following an altercation between two students.
Police said they were immediately notified by staff that a 16-year-old student involved in the fight made threats to get a gun and return to assault another student, according to a news release.
The student was also said to have been agitated and leaving the school. The school was placed on lockdown and within a short time, the student was found walking close to their home.
Police confirmed on Friday that they were able to reach the student while they were walking home. Once the student was located, officials lifted the lockdown at WHS.
