WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Two juveniles have been arrested after one of the suspects allegedly threatened to assault a classmate with a firearm Thursday.
According to Woonsocket police, the Woonsocket High School school resource officer was alerted to the threat by staff at 8:40 a.m.
The 16-year-old male student allegedly threatened to leave Woonsocket High School and return with a firearm.
The student was observed to be agitated when he left the school, which was briefly placed on lockdown.
The student was located close to his home, and the lockdown was lifted.
Woonsocket officers met with the student’s parents and searched their residence.
A second juvenile, a 15-year-old, was found hiding in a bedroom of the home, and police say that they also located several packages of marijuana
