CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) -- If you’re looking for the true hero of the Panthers road win Sunday over Green Bay, conventional wisdom says you’d find him on the field.
However, there’s at one person that insists he in fact, was standing in the upper deck.
“I’m just the missing piece of the puzzle,” superfan Bryson Shupe quips.
The 14-year-old is only partially joking. But that’s only because as a diehard fan, he wants to be at every game. You see, the Panthers aren’t just a small part of his life. To some, they’re what’s kept him living.
“I mean I think they keep him going,” his grandmother Denise Shupe explains.
They’ve been there through good times and bad. And there’s been quite a few of both.
“He tries to be as normal as he can. And I try to treat him as normal,” she
