WASHINGTON ( KKTV /Gray News) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture said that it is working to comply with a federal judge’s order to provide full food benefits through November.
According to a USDA letter to state agency directors on Friday, it is working to send full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program funding to states.
The agency shared that it will complete the processes to make those funds available sometime on Friday in compliance with a court order from the District Court of Rhode Island.
Friday’s announcement comes after the Trump administration sought an emergency pause to a judge’s order to distribute November’s full monthly SNAP benefits.
