TAMPA, Fla. (KLTV) - Former Rusk Eagle Owen McCown threw a touchdown pass and for 200 yards in UTSA’s 55-23 loss to South Florida on Thursday.

The junior was 16-of-23 passing and had an interception. McCown threw his touchdown with 13:46 left in the first half to cut the South Florida lead to 21-10.

Brandon Tennison (Gilmer) relieved McCown at quarterback and was 13-of-21 passing for 109 yards and a touchdown through the air. He also rushed for 20 yards. Devin McCuin (Jacksonville) had two catches for seven yards. Bryson Donnell (Tyler Legacy) had two carries for 10 yards. Jakevian Rodgers (Daingerfield) had two tackles, including one for a loss. Will Henderson (Gilmer) had five rushes for 27 yards and a catch for five yards.
