New Jersey Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill sat down with Bill Ritter for Up Close, discussing her resounding victory over Republican Jack Ciattarelli on Election night, and what she would do on day one as governor.

An excited Sherrill called Tuesday's contest a "huge juggernaut of an election," and said the momentum and energy on the ground matched the wider-than-expected margin over her opponent in the election results, despite the polls predicting a much tighter race.

"We're seeing I moved every single county of all 21 counties to the left... that is a shot across the bow, that is a warning sign to Republicans everywhere that they need actually start taking governing seriously and serving the people of this country, and certainly of New Jersey," she said.
