PERRY, Mich. (WILX) -A local agriculture teacher has been named the 2025 Ag Educator of the Year by the Shiawassee County Farm Bureau.

Perry Public Schools teacher Nathan Snow won the award because of his passion and impact inside and outside of the classroom.

You won’t find students continually sitting in a classroom when they have Nathan Snow as their teacher.

“Events and field trips, and just do things that most people don’t get to do in class,” said Faith Adair, a Perry High School senior.

Raising broiler chickens, growing plants, and having a mock wilderness practice in the woods are just a few of the ways Snow has helped his students step outside the classroom.
