ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Two City of Truesdale employees came face to face with an out of control semi truck last week, totaling their city truck but leaving them uninjured.

According to Truesdale Mayor Jerry Cannon, two city employees were sitting at the intersection of E. Veterans Memorial Parkway and Heritage Landing when a semi truck traveling in the right lane of I-70 EB left the roadway, flipping onto its side and sliding across E. Veterans Memorial Parkway, before hitting the city truck.

“If it had been a smaller vehicle, than our big truck, it could have been really bad,” said Cannon.

Cannon said the two city employees were checked out at the hospital as a precaution, but were uninjured. He said the driver of the semi-truck suffered minor injuries. However, the truck, whi
