TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Veterans Memorial Museum of Terre Haute is honoring Vietnam veterans with a new exhibit.
The owner of the museum, Brian Mundell, says the new room will honor 100 Vietnam veterans, featuring personal mementos and other items from that time. He said the project took about a year to put together. The exhibit will open at 1 p.m. on Veterans Day, which is Tuesday.
"We want to do our best to honor these veterans, especially while they're still living," said Mundell. "We want them to feel like when they come in here that their service and sacrifice is remembered, you know, for the generations to come."
The Veterans Memorial Museum of Terre Haute is on Wabash Avenue. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Veterans Day.
