KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — A North Carolina man is facing charges alleging sexual battery of children in connection with multiple cases, most of which occurred decades earlier.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division announced on Friday that it had arrested 66-year-old David Earl Culton of Asheville, North Carolina, on four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. The charges followed a state investigation, which was requested by the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office.
Warrants state that one incident happened in 1987 and two others occurred in 1988. A fourth warrant refers to a crime in 2015.
