FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — The bridge in Foley is red and green, and lights surround the fountain at Heritage Park as the city is gearing up for the Christmas season, according to a news release.
Crews began working on the first of November to put up the Foley Christmas tree and decorations in Heritage Park and on the main roads.
Foley Mayor Ralph Hellmich said that as the town has gotten bigger, the decorating takes longer.
“It takes a long time to get them up. We can't just do that, because we also have outside partners, and so we're already putting those up,” Hellmich said. “Years ago, we used to wait till after Thanksgiving. Then, some of the businesses said they would like us to move that up and support them during the Christmas
