WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The entire state of Kansas is looking at a hard freeze this weekend, marking the first of the season for Wichita and south-central Kansas.
Eric Denneler, assistant manager at Treetop Nursery and Landscaping, said homeowners should take steps now to protect their property before the cold weather arrives.
“If you have any plants outside, like a tropical, or houseplants that you wanted to winter over, those definitely need to be inside or they won’t make it,” Denneler said.

Denneler recommends giving plants water before the freeze sets in.
