MINOT, ND (KXNET) — An elementary school in Minot came together today to honor those who have fought for our country.
Dozens of cars lined the perimeter of Edison Elementary School today as kids from 6-11 years old stood outside with a variety of posters and flags for their annual Veterans Day Parade.
"I really hope that they saw that we appreciate what they've done for us, and since they've given us the freedom that we have, we can show them that we love them so much," 5th grader Josie Schriock said.
Teachers said the kids have spent the week learning about what Veterans Day really means.
Schriock said that to her, Veterans Day means someone has paid a price to allow everyone to live in the world that we have today.
