SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Public Schools (SPS) bond , part of the Together Spokane initiatives, has garnered 61.37% voter approval with 10,000 ballots still to be counted.
SPS Superintendent Adam Swinyard emphasized the significance of this initiative.
"Expo ‘74 was a catalyst for this entire region," Swinyard stated. "We really believe that this transformational partnership is the next version of that, and it sets the course for a really bright future."
SPS Board President Nikki Lockwood highlighted the bond's long-term benefits.
"This bond will strengthen Spokane for decades to come, and we’re committed to transparency, accountability and ensuring every dollar delivers lasting value," Lockwood said.
