A wanted man with an outstanding $1 million warrant for attempted murder and a domestic violence incident that occurred in late October has been arrested, Santa Maria Police said Friday.

Anthony Jacob Amador, 19, of Santa Maria, was arrested Thursday night at 10:30 p.m. after officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Chianti Lane.

He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for attempted murder stemming from a domestic violence incident that occurred on Oct. 22 in Santa Maria, according to police.

During that incident, it was alleged that Amador may have used a firearm. Following the initial incident, Amador fled and was not located despite ongoing efforts by officers.

On the evening of Nov. 6, officers observed signs of activity at the Chianti Lane residence and made contact.
