SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - By next week, the number of flights into dozens of the nation’s biggest and busiest airports will drop.
Those delays and cancellations will cause a ripple effect that will more than likely impact regional airports like those in the ArkLaTex.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) cut the number of flights by 4% at 40 major U.S. airports Friday, November 7, causing hundreds of flight delays and cancellations across the country in response to the government shutdown.

TSA and air traffic controllers are working without getting paid. According to the FAA, Friday’s 4% reduction will climb to 10% by next week.
