CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Salem’s season came to an end at the hands of No. 2 seed-Glenville, 49-0.
CJ Newell raced 43 yards on the Tarblooder’s first play from scrimmage. Newell made his way into the end zone from five yards away with 4:54 remaining in the first quarter.
Arvell Nelson found Romell Phillips on a screen pass that went for 26 yards to close out the first quarter, up 21-0 in favor of Glenville.
Salem finished the 2025 season with a record of 7-5; a major improvement from the prior two years, where the Quakers accounted for a total of four wins (4-16).
Throughout the season, Salem had been matched against eight teams that finished/have a winning record; going 3-5 in those contests.
