Military training to cause increased aircraft noise, vehicle movement on several islands

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Residents on Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island can expect increased aircraft noise, vehicle movement training activity in November.

From Nov. 3–17, the 25th Infantry Division will conduct the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center 26-01 readiness training exercise.

The exercise highlights the Army’s ability to operate in different environments, project long-range precision fires, and strengthen joint and multinational operations.

The training will require military maneuvers, vehicle convoys, and helicopter, cargo aircraft, and unmanned aircraft systems flights.

On Oahu, impacted areas include those surrounding Wheeler Army Airfield, Schofield Barracks, Kahuku Training Area, Lualualei, and Dillingham Airfield.

On Hawaii Island, impacted areas include those s
