AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man wanted on numerous charges across multiple counties.

Investigators arrested 48-year-old Aaron J. Carter on Friday during a search at the Studio Lodge on Claussen Road.

Carter is charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime involving three firearms, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators tell us that Carter is also wanted in Columbia, South Carolina, for Attempted Murder and Resisting Arrest.

He is also wanted in Aiken for Armed Robbery, burglary, assault and battery, forgery, and several other charges.
