SALINE, MI— Saline hosted Woodhaven for the Division 1 high school football district championship on Friday, November 7.
With cheering crowds greeting the teams as they took the field, the stage was set for a tough game. Although Woodhaven would put the first points on the board with a field goal, it was Saline who made a statement– finishing the first quarter 21-3.
The second quarter was more of the same from Saline, seemingly scoring at will as they entered the locker room 36-10 at halftime.
As both teams came out for the final half, it was clear Saline had no intention of stepping off the gas. They went on to finish out the game 57-17, clinching the district championship.
MLive photojournalist Lukas Katilius was there to document the action, both on and off of the field. Check out p
