NANAKULI (HawaiiNewsNow) - City and state crews began clearing a homeless encampment Friday morning at Ulehawa Beach Park in Nānākuli.
Outreach teams were on site offering food, water, and information about shelters as residents packed their belongings.
Many were still unsure where they’d go next.
Officials say this marks the start of a week-long park closure, the fourth shutdown at the site in the past year and a half.
As dump trucks hauled away tents and debris, campers rushed to salvage what they could.
