Andrew Cross threw two touchdowns in the second half to lead Moon to a 20-13 come-from-behind upset of No. 4 seed Penn-Trafford in a WPIAL Class 5A quarterfinal game played Friday at Penn-Trafford.
The victory earns the No. 5-seeded Tigers (9-3) their first trip to the semifinals since 2021. The win also avenges Penn-Trafford's 25-24 win over Moon in a non-section game played Sept. 5.
Moon opened the scoring with a 45-yard field goal by Evan Senkevich with 8:03 left in the first quarter. Penn-Trafford drove 80 yards on its first possession and scored on a 1-yard sneak by Nate Desmond with 25 seconds left in the first quarter.
