Air India's Mumbai–London flight (AI129) was delayed by nearly 7 hours on Saturday due to a technical glitch, inconveniencing passengers who took to social media to vent their frustration. The flight, originally scheduled to take off at 6.30 am from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, will now depart at 1 pm.
Harried passengers said the boarding for the flight began around 6 am, nearly 40 minutes later than the original 5.20 am schedule.
However, after boarding, passengers were made to wait inside the aircraft for nearly one and a half hours before the crew announced that a technical problem had been detected. The passengers were then made to deboard the plane.
