Snow is predicted to fall in the UK by next weekend, with northern regions most likely to experience snowfall - but don't expect snowball fights in the South West just yet.
The season's first snow has yet to officially arrive, but meteorologists are forecasting a light dusting from Friday next week much further north.
If the snow does indeed fall, it could potentially last for three to four days, it has been suggested.
Following a record-breaking mild October and start of November, the Met Office is also predicting a colder week ahead.
There's an increased likelihood of overnight frost from mid-November, they said.
