MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — A closure that was in place for water main installation and concrete paving in Mandan is no more, as the exit into Mandan has officially reopened.
The I-194 eastbound Memorial Highway exit was closed while crews worked on the 46th Ave. and Memorial Highway intersection.
This is part of the Memorial Highway project, set to go until 2027. Crews are currently preparing for the winter, continuing to work as long as weather allows, and pausing construction for the winter season when conditions no longer allow them to work.
The project intends to add sidewalk and shared-use paths, improve traffic flow and intersection safety, improve drainage, and address pavement at the end of its useful life.
